2010 Jaguar XKR 75 Review & Features

In order to celebrate the birthday of the Jaguar to 75, will build 75 XKR which is only produced only 75 units. It will be available to order from July 2010 in the UK priced from £85,500 OTR. Customer deliveries will commence during October 2010. An exclusive Jaguar XKR 75 makes its debut at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

It gives offer the option for customers to apply a unique body graphic that runs from the front bumper to the rear haunches. The Jaguar XKR 75 features a new Stratus Grey finish. Red brake callipers contrast the eye-catching 20-inch gloss Vortex forged lightweight alloys with a dark technical finish and diamond turn.

The Jaguar XKR 75’s interior completes the driver-focussed performance environment finished in Charcoal with ivory stitch, piano black finish to facia and centre console and a Jet suedecloth headlining.

Jaguar engineers increased the power and torque of the acclaimed 5.0-litre supercharged engine to 530PS and 655Nm respectively for the Jaguar XKR 75, to deliver truly outstanding performance. While the limited edition model’s top speed is electronically limited to 280km/h, the Jaguar XKR 75’s 100km/h acceleration time is reduced from 4.6 to 4.4 seconds compared to the standard 510 PS XKR.

Jaguar XKR 75 provides several packages and standard features to support the greatness of this car. o ensure the Jaguar XKR 75 remains stable at high speeds, a revised aerodynamic body pack with a front splitter, side sills extensions, a rear diffuser and larger rear spoiler provide increased balance and a reduction in lift. 2011 Jaguar XJ Review & Specification

Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum, who was responsible for styling the late-model XK and mold-breaking XF, has once again carved a boldly modern face into the all-new XJ. The overall package is quite stunning in person, even with the controversial piano black D-pillars (regardless of exterior color) that try to mimic the wraparound rear window look. They look best when absorbed completely by an all-black exterior, a color that fits this cat like a bespoke Huntsman suit anyway.

Hit the starter button and the recessed drive-selector dial (introduced in the XF) rises from the center console, at the same time the all-new configurable TFT instrument panel illuminates and four virtual analog gauges (speedometer, tachometer, fuel/coolant) materialize before your eyes.

The majority of our time was spent behind the wheel of the crème de la crème XJ Supersport (available by special order only), equipped with the supercharged 5.0-liter that graces the bays of both the R-model XK and XF. This direct-injected aluminum V-8 generates 510 bhp from 6000–6500 rpm and 461 lb.-ft. of torque from 2500–5500 rpm, which is sufficient for a claimed 0–60 mph run in 4.7 seconds or breaking the 275-width Dunlop tires loose on a wet highway at 93 mph—trust us. But as much as we enjoy breaking sound barriers on the highway, the other two available engines are more than up to task of moving these relatively light (4045–4323 lb.) aluminum-bodied cats. The naturally aspirated 5.0-liter in the standard XJ and XJL puts out 385 bhp and 380 lb.-ft. while the more conservatively tuned supercharged 5.0-liter makes 470 bhp and 424 lb.-ft. All three come mated to an excellent ZF 6-speed automatic that can be shifted as quickly as you can squeeze the steering-wheel-mounted paddles.
