Mahindra is building a smaller version of the Xylo called as "mini xylo" can be seen from these expensive spy pictures. The mini Xylo which is experience hot weather testing in Rajasthan will be less than four-metres in length and will come with a diesel engine under 1.5-litres to certify as a ‘small car’ to help of a firm 12 percent saving in excise duty.The car will be a tad smaller than its sibling Xylo and will be powered by an engine under 1.5L capacity to qualify for the tax redemption given to cars under 4 metres.ini Xylo will be a five-seater MPV, it will have only two rows of seats.he mini Xylo is expected to be competitively priced around the Rs. 5 lakh mark. The mini Xylo has the potential to crack open a completely new segment in the Indian market when it is launched sometime in 2011.
Mahindra is expected to unleash this mini MPV somewhere in the year 2011 and we are sure the pricing will be competitive and lucrative enough to lure the customers waiting to buy themselves a mini passenger carrier. Currently Rio from the Premier motors is the only option available for a MPV under sub 4 meters category, so it's obvious that this Mini Xylo will go on loggerhead with the same when it's unleashed onto the Indian roads.
