The petrol variants come equipped with a 64 bhp 1.2-litre multi-point fuel injection in-line 4 engine and the diesel variants get either a 1.4-litre turbocharged or same size DiCOR diesel engine that delivers an output of 69 bhp. With minimal engine noise and vibration, the performance of the sedan is acceptable. All variants come with a 5-speed manual transmission. The diesel engine of Indigo e-CS generates 70 PS of power @ 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 1,800 – 3,000 rpm while 1.2L MPFi petrol engine with a power output of 62PS @ 5,000 rpm and 100 Nm of torque @ 2,700 rpm. Both the engines of the car are joined to a reverse speed gearbox and 5 forward.
