Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, a SUV vehicle, presents the attributes of off-road ability and on-road comfort. It has body structure that blends car and truck chassis designs. Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch yet another SUV in India soon. Since Grand Vitara hasn't gained much owners till date, the arrival of this new vehicle will not lag.Past Grand Vitara models were not very successful. However, its later models were highly improved. The new XL7 is not modified Vitara. XL7 is a D+ segment SUV which comes only in petrol engine . XL7 has got a 3600cc DOHC 24 valve engine which can deliver a maximum power of 252 hp at 6400rpm and a maximum torque of 243lb.-ft. at 2300 rpm. XL7 comes with a 6 speed manual gear box and excellent mileage up to 22 km/l on highways and 16 km/l in cities.Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is equipped with a 2.7-liter V6 engine that's capable of 185 horsepower. A five-speed manual is standard on the base model, while a five-speed automatic system is optional
The beautiful interiors have ample storage space for luggage. A classy instrument cluster beautifies the cabin. The dashboard, with its wood and LCD readout, is quite appealing. In-dash CD system has steering mounted audio & AVC (Auto Volume Control). Automatic Climate Control system maintains a precise cabin temperature. Maruti Suzuki is planning introduce XL7 in India by end of this year. They are planning to sell this D+ segment , highly powered and stylish SUV for a price in the range of 20 lakh rupees . So XL7 will be a strong competitor for Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavor. It is very important that none of the competitors have such a high power and good mileage as that of XL7.
